Some explanation?

I dropped out of the school board race, as I was convinced it could become problematic...seeing as I would no longer be employable by the school district. Turned out, that was the right choice. I gave way to the fellow who eventually won, though I imagine I could have won if I'd stayed in; the incumbent was that unpopular. Oh, well.

Running for the school board

Here's my (re-launched) blog, containing my reasoning for putting myself up for the school board here in Ector County, Texas. It will also contain my commentary on things I see happening around the district. It will probably be impolitic at times—if not all the time—but will always be honest and forthright, like I am at my best. Whatever happens, I cannot stress enough that wherever you are, you are registered to vote and you participate in the democratic process as often as possible, if not necessarily as often as the opportunities arise. In short, research the choices, make a decision and vote, no matter for whom or for what.
