Of course, they were only in favor of separating church and state when it was in their interest to do so. When it became more profitable--and not only money-wise--in this last few decades to do so, they were more than happy to throw that concept under the horse-cart.

Some explanation?

I dropped out of the school board race, as I was convinced it could become problematic...seeing as I would no longer be employable by the school district. Turned out, that was the right choice. I gave way to the fellow who eventually won, though I imagine I could have won if I'd stayed in; the incumbent was that unpopular. Oh, well.
